Private Homes \ New House on St Helena Island

This exceptionally unusual project for a retirement house on the mid-South Atlantic island of St Helena is taking shape. The house is a modest 120sq m three bedroom plan focussed around an outside deck. Currently the design is predicated around the idea of prefabrication in South Africa, sitting on termite-free stilts and with each room catching the SE trade winds. However we will update the drawings as the house design progresses. The site is virgin bush with a view of the sea to the north-west.
