Joe is a graduate of the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen (2018). His Thesis work was focused on the design of educational buildings, primarily issues surrounding remote learning in his home of the Shetland Islands. His work culminated in several awards including the RGU Purchase Prize, Best Visualisation & Drawing and a nomination for the inaugural Architects Journal Student Prize. His work was also presented for discussion as part of the school’s annual ‘Big Crit’ event.
Following his graduation, Joe spent three years working in London for Glenn Howells Architects where he gained experience working on luxury residential projects of varying scales. During this time, he successfully completed his Part III studies at the University of Westminster in 2020.
Since joining the office in March 2021, Joe has been working with the team on the Macmillan Hub project as it progresses towards submission for planning.
